Helene Kalmanson Epstein – writer, strategist, director, advocate, volunteer, and parent – brings a unique blend of experience to Brightpoint Health. Over the past three decades, she has worked in five disciplines, most of them concurrently: consumer advertising, business development, theater management, non-fiction writing and community-based advocacy. Her community work includes serving various non-profits and two public school systems as an unpaid consultant, committee member and board member. Most recently, Helene lived in St. Louis where she was a board member of the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, an allocation panelist for the United Way of St. Louis, focusing on youth development for youth in crisis, and a member of an ad hoc group formed to help local civic groups navigate issues of racial disparity and healing in the months following Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson, Missouri. She currently lives in Brooklyn, with her husband Brad, SVP Marketing at Precision for Medicine, and her son who works in TV development.
